An surprisingly difficult quest in Shady Cats has cute cats, scattered fish, and a strange shadow. What is first a straightforward platforming experience soon turns into a survival, timing, and mobility challenge.
Shady Cats is a casual platform game where you control a cat, leap across stages, and gather fish while avoiding a shadow that mimics you. The aim is to outlast the shadow and collect as many fish as possible before the shadow comes up to you.
The main focus of the game is a platform-based setting with fish that are ready to be caught.
Fish are the major collection and purpose of each run. Some are easy to grab, while others can lead you on a longer and/or more perilous trip.
Check the platforms nearby before jumping for a fish. Make an easy leap off of it and continue traveling. It's probably not worth it if you'll have to posture your cat badly to be able to pick it up anyhow.
